2004 National Academic Showcase
Andrew Huff is a 6'0", 2005 southpaw from Kill Devil Hills, NC, who threw four innings at the Academic Showcase. He threw his fastball between 67 and 73 mph with some tailing action from a low ¾’s release point. Huff also threw a 58 mph curveball with sweeping actions and a nice break. Huff is still developing his change up that will help set up his other pitches. He has good control of all his pitches. He will be a successful lefty in the right college program. He also showed some very good hitting potential with a nice well balanced swing. Andrew is a good student.
