Matt Daugherty is a 2009 OF/MIF with a 6'1'', 190 lb. frame from Temecula, CA who attends Temecula Valley. Daugherty has a big frame with a lean athletic build. He has a very good body with some projectability to it. Defensively, Daugherty throws with a long loose arm action and has arm sttrength. He has some carry on his throws and follows his throws well. Daugherty has average transfers with solid outfield actions. At the plate, Daugherty starts with a straight stance and maintains good balance through his swing. He throws his hands to the baseball and gets the barrell there. Daugherty generates good bat speed and gets some extension in his swing. He can hit the ball well to the opposite field and has some power potential. Daugherty has some juice in his bat and can hit the baseball well.
