Jeff Knapp is a 2005 left handed pitcher with some arm strength from Garland, TX. He throws from a full windup and a high ¾ release point that creates a good angle to the plate on his pitches. Knapp’s fastball was up to 84 mph during his two outings in Waco, and he had nice cutting action on some of his fastballs. His curveball was 69-71 mph and showed good biting action in the strike zone and some two-plane downward break. Knapp also ran a 4.49 to first base from the right side in game action, and he looked like a good athlete. He's not a big guy, but he is a quality LHP with a good arm. Jeff is a good student.
