Ylda is a 5-8 senior second baseman from Texas with a solid mature build and good strength for his size. He looked like a very smooth and polished defensive player at second base. Ylda is a 7.21 runner with very quick feet and balanced actions in the field. He fields the ball cleanly and gets ready of it quickly, which compensates for his below average arm strength. Offensively, Ylda has the approach of a much bigger player. He has a big scripted load with hand/body seperation and a big aggressive swing. Ylda generates some bat speed and showed he could drive the ball a bit with this approach.
