Kurt Leeney is a 2009 OF with a 5'9'', 167 lb. frame from Munster, IN who attends Munster HS. He has a small framed build with some compact present strength. Leeney's best tool is his bat. He has a short, quick swing with his hands in tight and the ball comes off his bat pretty hard. He hits with a leg lift trigger and does a good job timing pitches and using his hand quickness to get the bat head in the zone at the right time. He finishes high with some lift in his swing and competes hard at the plate. Leeney is a 7.82 runner who threw 77 during drills. He is a very good student.
