Nick Turcotte is a 2009 C/OF with a 5'11'', 170 lb. frame from Meadow Vista, California, who attends Colfax High School. Turcotte is a young player with a lean and athletic frame. Defensively his feet work well behind the plate. He steps to second base well on his throws that were 71 mph. He has a long arm action for a catcher, but his feet work well. Turcotte receives the ball with soft hands. He also has position flexibility with the ability to play the outfield. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance. He shows bat speed through the hitting zone at times. Turcotte likes to pull the ball, and he looks for pitches on the inner half of the plate. He is a good student as well.
