Juan Moreno, Jr. is a 2014 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-10 135 lb. frame from San Gabriel, CA who attends Bishop Amat. Medium frame, thin slender build. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot, very long arm action, deep take back from hand separation into arm circle, drop and drive delivery. Fastball shows natural tailing action to the glove side, loses front side early, loose arm action portends for some projected velocity gains with increase strength, mechanical tweaks could bring about even more. Good depth on curveball with 11-5 shape/direction, needs to increase power in order to create harder break. Hits from a wide base, line drive swing plane, lacks extension. Good student.
