Taylor Case is a 2007 OF/3B/C from University of San Diego HS in Poway, California, with a 5'9", 155 lb. frame. Case ran a 7.17 sixty on a very slow track and showed very good game quickness on the bases and in the outfield. Defensively he showed good actions in the outfield with some arm speed on throws to the plate. Case showed good range in the outfield and read balls well off the bat. The right handed hitter hits from a closed stance with little to no stride, and stays balanced throughout his swing. Case has quiet hands with a line drive swing path. His current game is based on speed and putting the ball in play. He will continue to improve as he gains strength.
