Corey Furia is a 2014 C/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Merrick, NY who attends Sanford H Calhoun. Tall, strong build and looks the part behind the plate. Ran a 7.46 60 yard dash. Arm strength is still developing from behind the plate, but makes consistently on the mark throws. Receives pitches well and has good footwork. Bats right-handed, hits from a crouched setup and a high hand set. Shows quickness in his hands and hits the ball sharply to his pull side. Shows off good bat speed. Good student.
