Cole Acosta is a 2015 RHP with a 6-3 180 lb. frame from Del Mar, CA who attends Santa Fe Christian Schools. Nice young pitchers build, long loose and projectable. Well paced leg raise delivery, tends to open early with his front side and fall off on release, 3/4's arm slot, arm and loose and easy coming through. Mid-80's fastball, topped out at 87 mph, occasional arm side sink and run. Nice short slider with good shape and some bite, could throw slider more. Has confidence in change up, throws at any count with good sink, will slow arm/body occasionally on change up. Slows on soft curveball more frequently, pitch still developing. Three present pitches and very projectable, follow closely. Good student.
