Jonathan Perez is a 6'1" outfielder from Miami with good physical tools and above average hitting ability that should play well at the college level. Perez runs well enough to be a good corner outfielder and his arm strength plays at both positions as well. At the plate, Perez hits out of an open stance and generates good bat speed with a pull oriented approach. Perez showed some power in batting practice and also the ability to hit the ball up the middle and to the right side in games. Perez is aggressive and confident at the plate and it shows in his results. He can play at a high level and Jonathan is a good student.
