Danny Leiva is a 2006 IF/OF from Royal Palm Beach, Florida, with an athletic 5'10", 150 lb. frame. He is a right handed hitter who hits from a closed stance. Leiva has some bat speed with good balance in his swing. He has a high finish with his swing and tends to hit the lower half of the ball. He has an athletic body with better game quickness than his sixty time might suggest. Defensively, he has solid footwork and gets in position to make the plays. He fields the ball a bit too deep, but made the plays. He plays hard with great effort and attitude. He has loose and athletic actions, and appears that he will continue to add strength to his frame.
