Jake Huggins is a 2015 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Midlothian, VA who attends Cosby. Tall, projectable, lean frame. Ran a 7.35 60 yard dash. Makes accurate throws across the diamond and has smooth overall defensive actions. Bats right-handed, works from an open, wide stance and carries his hands high. Hits line drives to the middle of the field and flashes good bat speed. Uses a line drive approach and knows the strike zone. Also took the mound, reaches 80 mph with his fastball and projects to add more velocity. Also mixes an 11-5 curveball and a nice, fading changeup at 72 mph. Repeats his delivery and throws strikes. Very good student.
