Ethan Skender is a 2015 SS/OF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Metamora, IL who attends Metamora HS. Strong, physical build at present with projection for added growth and strength. Stands in batter's box square to plate with a high back elbow, shows excellent bat speed with very good hands. Covers the entire plate with ease and really projects to hit for both batting average and for power. Will use the entire field and shows power to entire field. Shows an excellent arm in the field, both from the outfield and infield, topping out at 90 MPH at this event. Has athletic actions in the OF with a smooth gather and crow up, highlighted by that excellent arm. Really good hands in the infield with polished actions and overall good athleticism, once again highlighted by excellent arm strength and overall accuracy of throws. Very high end prospect overall, both with the bat and with the glove. Committed to Kansas State. Named to National Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List. Good student.
