2006 Atlantic Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Alex Andrews is a 2007 C/IF from Madison HS in Vienna, VA with a 5'11", 180 lb. frame. Alex has an athletic build and swung the bat well at the showcase. At the plate Alex has a balanced calm approach where he produces consistent line-drive contact. Alex has good upper body strength, but could become a more consistent hitter with more lower half. Behind the plate Alex has good catch and throw skills. He is a clean reciever that gets rid of the ball quick. While he doesnt have huge arm strength he makes up for it with his accurate arm. Alex is the type of player that will strive at a smaller college.
