Austin Lieberman is a 2007 2B/OF with a 5'9'', 165 lb. frame from Sebastian FL, who attends Sebastian River HS. He has a lean athletic build that can add strength. Although Lieberman showed more arm strength from the outfield during drills, his actions and overall profile are better suited for second base. He has a short arm action and gets rid of the ball quickly. His feet are quick and he can move laterally at second base. Offensively, Lieberman has a simple, balanced approach at the plate and stays right on the ball throughout his swing. He generates solid bat speed and the ball jumps a bit on contact. Lieberman hit the ball hard to all fields during BP and the games and looked like he was a high average type of hitter. There might even be some power there in the future, especially when he pulls the ball as he did a few times.. He definitely has hitting skills. Lieberman also runs pretty well at 7.09. He is a very good student off the field.
