Trey Blackman is a switch hitting 6-1, 215 lb. junior catcher from Florida. Blackman showed good skills behind the plate and threw a 2.05 pop time to second base. Blackman showed arm strength with 76 mph from behind the dish and threw 82 mph off the mound filling in to pitch. Blackman wants to play as he took the ball on the mound even though he's a catcher. At the plate, Blackman is a solid switch hitter. Blackman has a nice short swing with some strength in his hands from the right side. He also has good line drive pop. He is more polished from the right side of the plate. Blackman is a good student.
