Christopher Brue is a 2015 1B with a 6-3 185 lb. frame from Hayward, CA who attends Bishop O'Dowd HS. Long and slender athletic build, projects well physically. Right handed hitter, upright stance, long swing with good bat speed, uses lower half very well to create torque, quiet approach and does a good job seeing the ball and swing at strikes, ball comes off the barrel hard, big power potential when his body fills out, drove the ball hard to both alleys, puts backspin on the ball and gets carry. Projects well as a hitter. 7.33 runner, smooth defensive actions at first base, stays balanced and under control with good footwork, soft hands and very good picking balls, takes charge in the infield, accurate throws. Good follow, watch out when he gets stronger. Good student.
