Daniel Gibbons is a 2014 LHP/1B with a 6-5 185 lb. frame from Powderly, TX who attends North Lamar. Big frame with a strong athletic build. Pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a long arm action, has an arm that works well, has 1-6 action on his curveball, and mixes his pitches well which helps him keep hitters off-balance. At first base he has a large frame to throw to which helps save errors, is athletic around the bag and has good feet. Starts at the plate with a square stance and a patient approach. Has a short swing with bat speed, has the ability to barrel up the ball and drive the ball to right field. Is an Army commit and is a prospect to continue to follow.
