Ryan Lane is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Freeport, IL who attends Freeport. Solid athletic build with present strength. On the mound, pitches from high 3/4 slot, deliberate delivery, high leg hands. Lands slightly across body. Has some deception and is hard for hitters to pick up. Arm works and is around zone with fastball and 2/8 curveball. Curveball has depth and is solid #2 pitch. Long arm action in the outfield, arm shows strength, solid fielder. Left handed hitter, long swing, long backside. Long grooved swing with pull approach. Balanced approach, some pop in bat. Very good student.
