Zachary Ervin is a 2013 C/3B/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Mount Pleasant, TX who attends Mount Pleasant HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. 7.25 runner, athletic behind the plate, quick feet and sound footwork, good exchange on throws, clean short arm action, 1.95 best pop time. Also played third base, has range and soft hands, shows his athleticism. Right handed hitter, bent knee crouched stance, short swing, uses his hands and stays inside, has some bat speed, hits to all fields, flashes some lift and gap power. Also pitched, back turn delivery with a big pause at the top, extended 3/4's arm slot, consistent upper 70's fastball with good arm side run, good feel for spinning the ball, throws both a curveball and slider with good shape and bite. Versatile athlete. Good student.
