Dominic Nunez is a 2013 SS/3B/C with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from Sacramento, CA who attends Elk Grove HS. Strong physical build, fairly physically mature. Left handed hitter, open stance with wrapped start, quick hands, moves into contact well, shows present bat speed, hard line drive contact, strong enough to drive the alleys, squares the ball up, polished hitting approach that plays up at the next level. 7.03 runner, very balanced defender with sound fundamental footwork, quick release and exchange, throws have good carry, some shortstop tools but best profile may be as offensive second baseman. Very good all around player. Verbal commitment to UCLA.
