Byron Tagalicod is a 2008 C/3B/OF with a 5'7'', 170 lb. frame from Kapaau, Hawaii, who attends Konala High School. Defensively he as quick feet behind the plate with a nice release that produces solid pop times that topped out at 2.09. He has body control who works behind the dish. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance with a knee tuck load. He is an aggressive hitter who takes an aggressive swing. Tagalicod has a lift in his swing plane which causes his bat to not be in the hitting zone long. He shows bat speed, and he gets good bat extension at the end of his swing. Tagalicod is a contact hitter that hits the ball to all fields.
