Alfonso Yevoli is a 2008 LHP/OF with a 6'1'', 175 lb. frame from Palm Coast FL, who attends Flagler Palm Coast HS. He has a thin, young frame that projects very well in the future. Yevoli throws from a full wind up delivery and generates very good arm speed. He threw just fastballs and change ups at the event but that was enough to impress us. Yevoli's fastball was very consistent at 84-85 and didn't have the peaks and valley's you see in many young pitchers. He had excellent running action on his fastball away from RHH's. Yevoli's change up had the same type of running action at 73 mph. Yevoli pitched mostly with his fastball but it had enough velocity and movement to be effective. There doesn't appear to be any reason he couldn't throw a good breaking ball. Yevoli also showed some power in his bat and enough raw bat speed to project to the next level as well. He is a promising looking young pitcher who should be followed carefully.
