Michael Langhoff is a 2008 SS/IF with a 6'0'', 178 lb. frame from Oshkosh, WI, who attends Oshkosh West High School. Michael was playing with an existing injury for which he has already had surgery on. Langhoff has a medium frame with a good build. Defensively he has soft hands in the middle of the diamond. He gets in position to make the routine plays. At the plate he is a left handed hitter who hits from a straight away stance. Langhoff has raw strength in his swing and makes good contact on pitches in the inner half of the plate. He stays balanced throughout his swing, and gets leverage at contact that will help give him projectable power. He has solid bat speed from a quiet approach, and he doesn't try to do too much with the pitch. He has the chance to be a middle of the order hitter.
