Russell Barkoff is a 2008 OF from Farmington HS, residing in Farmington, Connecticut, with a 5'8"/160 pound frame. Russell has a lean frame. He hits from a slightly open stance and closes well. Barkoff has a top hand release with a line drive swing plane. He stays inside the ball well and uses the whole field to hit. His bat speed and power will improve as he gets stronger. Russell has long arm action from the outfield with an accurate arm. He has a solid release at 83 mph with solid carry. Barkoff moves to the ball well and needs to move through his throws. He is an excellent student.
