Casey Fithian is a 2012 C/MIF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Sammamish, WA who attends Eastlake. Medium athletic frame. Very impressive defensive ability behind the plate, good blocking ability, moves well, good catch and throw skills. Good arm strength (78) with a good release time allows quick pop times (1.93) and accurate throws. Showed steady improvement over the past year. Hits from a slightly open stance, high hand set, smooth load. Balanced swing with good extension, good bat speed, times well, good contact skills, line drive swing plane. Really solid 2012 C prospect.
