Spencer Jackson is a 2008 LHP/1B/OF with a 6'0'', 192 lb. frame from Castle Rock, CO who attends Regis Jesuit. Spencer has a large and physically mature frame with present strength throughout. On the mound he works from a low 3/4 arm slot and gets good arm side run on his fastball. He has good tempo, and mixes in a curveball and changeup. He has good armspeed and armstrength, but he will slow his arm a little on his curveball at times. When he stays consistent with his arm speed, the curveball is a good pitch. He is a solid defender, and his arm works nice and easy from the outfield with carry on his throws. His throws are accurate on the bag, and his top velocity from the outfield was 85 mph. His feet work and he gets to and through the ball consistently. At the plate he is a rotational hitter who looks for the ball away. He hits from an open stance, with his hands set at his ear. He has a good line drive swing path with bat speed, and he makes a lot of plus barrel contact. Spencer is also a good student.
