Ian Bolliger is a 2006 RHP/IF/OF from Issaquah, Washington, with a 6'0", 165 lb. frame. He has a solid delivery with good balance over the rubber. Bolliger throws from a 3/4 arm slot with good arm action. His fastball topped out at 80 mph and he projects to throw harder in the future. He keeps the ball down and has good control of his pitches, and will induce many ground balls. His curveball has a sharp, downward bite at 68 mph, and he mixes in a 71 mph change up with late sink. Bolliger pitches off his fastball with good secondary pitches and shows good pitchability. Offensively he is a switch hitter with good bat speed from both sides. He makes good contact each way with balanced swings and has a line drive swing plane. Defensively he has solid hands in the infield with an accurate throwing arm. He should be followed, and is an outstanding student with interest in top academic programs.
