Kobe Lopez is a 2016 SS/2B with a 5-7 134 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Archbishop Edward McCarthy HS. Short slender build, has plenty of hidden wiry strength. Right handed hitter, has outstanding hitting mechanics with a fluid swing with good lower body use and lots of leverage at contact, very good extension through the ball, hard line drive contact and squares the ball up consistently, gap power. 7.03 runner, very quick feet on defense, stays balanced well, fields the ball out front with quick transfers, quick twitch actions, gets carry to his throws without sacrificing a quick release, very smooth on defense. Just a fun player to watch on the field and he'll surprise you with his strength and tools for his size. Plays hard and enjoys playing. Excellent student, signed with Alabama State.
