Jon Hander is a 2013 RHP/3B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Sioux Falls, SD who attends Washington HS. Strong and lean athletic build, looks bigger than listed. Balanced on line delivery, quick arm action, tends to cut off extension out front, high 3/4's arm slot, has some deception with arm action. Fastball to 88 mph, mostly straight, curveball is his go to pitch, 73 mph with big 11/5 break, consistent spin/release and thrown for strikes, rare change up. Has two-way potential with the bat, 6.68 runner, very athletic, short simple swing mechanics, good strength at contact, ball jumps well, limited lower half use at present, squared ball up well in games. May even have higher ceiling as a position player. Good student.
