Davis Daniel is a 2016 RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Montgomery, AL who attends St James HS. Slender broad shouldered build that projects very well. Versatile and athletic pitching approach, will vary between 3/4's and sidearm with both his pitches for multiple looks and does well not following a pattern, both have deception, delivery has some funkiness from both slots. Fastball from 3/4's tops out at 92 mph with some good cross fire angle to it, slider is a big sweeper that can evade right handed hitters. Sidearm velocities are 10-12 mph less but with good action on them and thrown to right handed hitters. Throws all his pitches for strikes and is athletic in his delivery and execution. Will be interesting to follow his development with the two pitching styles. Good student. Verbal commitment to North Carolina State.
