Mitchell West is a 2014 2B/SS with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Santa Rosa, CA who attends Montgomery. Medium frame, thin athletic build. Hits from a slightly open stance with a noisy hand load, attacks the baseball with an aggressive plate approach. Carries that aggression with him on the basepaths as well and in the field. Long swing, long finish, solid bat speed, pull approach. Good defensive actions, quick release time on accurate throws with a short arm action. Good second base tools. Good student.
