Andrew Kirschner is a 2007 SS/OF with a 5'10'', 140 lb. frame from Yonkers NY, who attends Yonkers. Kirschner has a narrow frame with a thin lean build. Defensively, Kirschner has developing arm strength and throws with a longer release. He has good hands and can make the picks at SS. His tools project him to move over to 2B in the future. At the plate, Kirschner starts with a narrow base and a taller stance. He uses a no load approach and starts his swing with a stride. Kirschner has a rhythm approach and really relies on timing in his swing. The addition of a load as a timing mechanism would help his timing be more consistent. Kirschner has some length to his swing and has a slight uppercut on his bat path. Kirschner is also an outstanding student.
