Bobby Brown is a 6'3" 180 pound 2007 first baseman, outfielder, and right handed pitcher from San Diego, California who attends Rancho Bernardo High School. He has a tall projectable athletic build who has room to get stronger. Bobby showed very good speed by running a 6.79 60 which was one of the best at the event. He runs the bases exceptionally well also. Brown has a wide base at the plate with a simple approach and doesn’t use a stride. He has some good bat speed and has a loose quick swing through the zone that sprays the ball to all fields.Bobby handles himself very well in the field. He has good mobility and a quick first step to handle balls on both sides. On the mound, Brown throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an even tempo and a balanced delivery. His fastball topped out at 78 mph. His best pitch was his curveball that he threw in the mid 60's and was very sharp with good depth. He also shows a good feel for his circle change up that he threw in the upper 60's. Bobby has a good upside and is a good student as well with a 3.5 gpa.
