Jack Davis is a 2013 LHP/OF with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Glen Allen, VA who attends Glen Allen. Compact frame, room to fill. Pitches from a three quarter arm slot, moving parts to delivery make it difficult to repeat but also create deception for opposing hitters. Efficient with pitches, threw a lot of strikes, pitched to contact. Big tailing action on fastball, relies on deception and movement to induce ground balls and was effective. Relaxed hitter, contact approach, short rotational swing with balance. Good defensive actions and footwork coming through the ball defensively in the OF, projectable arm action. Excellent student.
