Kwestin Smith is a 2013 SS/2B with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Teaneck, NJ who attends Teaneck HS. Shorter compact build, good lower half strength. 7.14 runner, has run down to 6.96 in the past, light on his feet defensively, has some range, fields the ball out front with quick hands, short quick release, second base tools and actions. Switch-hitter, similar swing mechanics both sides, has better bat speed and crisper swing right handed, stays compact and short to the ball, mid field line drive contact, stays balanced well, tends to get out front left handed and hit around the ball, less bat speed.
