Bryn McDonnell is a 2007 RHP with a 5'11'', 160 lb. frame from Whitby ON, who attends Father Leo Austin SS. He has a medium athletic frame with some strength projection. McDonnell has a very balanced and smooth full wind up that leaves him in good position to throw the ball. The ball comes out of his hand easily and with little effort. McDonnell's fastball is steady at 78-79 mph and he works to the outside of the plate with it. It looks like he could throw harder if he wanted to but is looking more to spot the ball and create movement. His best pitch was a 71 mph hard downer curveball that had sharp biting action. He also mixed in a few change ups. If anything, we thought McDonnell could have thrown a few more curveballs, it's a very good pitch and he throws it for strikes. He's a polished pitcher with command and an idea. McDonnell is also a very good student.
