Eric Doi is a 2008 OF with a 5'9'', 165 lb. frame from Murray, UT, who attends Cottonwood HS. Doi is an athletic player with quickness and speed. He ran a solid sixty time, but showed very good quickness on the bases and in the field. Defensively he moves well in the outfield. He sets up well to throw, and he has arm speed. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a wide base with a quiet stride and swing. Doi shows good bat speed through the hitting zone, and he stays balanced through his swing. Doi is an aggressive hitter who attacks pitches in the strike zone. His hands work and he hits to all fields with consistency. He gets leverage at the point of contact. Doi has upside to his game, and he is an outstanding student as well.
