2006 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase
Ryan David is a 2007 C/OF with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Meriden, CT who attends Platt HS. Ryan has a well-developed athletic build and showed a very solid set of defensive tools behind the plate. At the plate Ryan looks the part of a strong athletic player. He has a nice line-drive swing plane and can drive the ball from gap to gap. Ryan really centers the ball well and took as of good of batting practice as any player at the event. Behind the plate Ryan has very quick footwork and a good release. If anything he is a little overaggressive behind the plate. Ryan is an outstanding student that should the attract the attention of many high-level college programs.
