Mitchell Grove is a 2015 RHP/3B/1B with a 6-4 205 lb. frame from Maple Valley, WA who attends Tahoma HS. Extra large athletic frame, good strength throughout. Compact quick arm action, 3/4's arm slot, lands open on delivery causing too many pitches to end up glove side, easily correctable. Strong arm, fastball topped out at 86 mph, mostly straight. Hard curveball spin, deep 11/5 shape at times, inconsistent command of curveball at present but potentially a very good pitch. Has the arm to develop with mechanical adjustments. Right handed hitter, balanced open stance, long and strong swing, can get the barrel out sooner, has strength when the ball is squared up. Very good student. Named to the Top Prospect Team for the National Underclass Session 1.
