Dalton Allen is a 2014 2B/RHP, OF, 3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Harrisburg, SD who attends Harrisburg High School - 01. Allen has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he has some arm strength up to 83 MPH from the outfield and 80 MPH across the infield. He profiles best at 3B and showed solid 3B actions. Allen has solid footwork to the ball with solid tranfers. He made accurate online throws with some carry. At the plate, Allen starts with a hand hitch load and has a smooth line drive swing path. He has an idea of what he's doing and keeps his swing short and to the ball. Allen made consistent solid contact and projects to be a high average guy at the next level. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot and uses an across body delivery. He stays tall on his backside and is a strike thrower. Allen throws an 11/5 curveball and a change up at 74 MPH. Solid two-way guy, excellent student.
