Coates is a not so big INF who projects to play 2B at the next level. He shows quick lateral movements and pretty nice actions. Soft hands and a shortarm type arm action suit him well at 2B. We like him best as a hitter. He handled the wood very well. Shows a quick swing with surprising bat speed and he makes solid contact. He also shows deceptive power. He can play and especially hit at the next level. He projects to get bigger and stronger which makes him all the more interesting.
