David Putman is a 2008 RHP with a 6'2'', 200 lb. frame from Doylestown, PA who attends Hun School. He has a strong, mature build with square shoulders and solid thickness in his lower half. Putnam has a long and whippy arm action and a high 3/4 release from a balanced delivery. His best pitch was a curveball to 77 mph that had very sharp and late downer break and good depth in the strike zone. His fastball was 87-90 with good downward plane to the plate and some arm side run. He also threw a 78 mph change up. Putnam had a polished approach on the mound and threw strikes and his curveball is a put-away pitch. He doesn't project much but his present tools and skills are very good. He is a very good student.
