2006 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Jordan Long is a 2009 C/OF from Western Branch HS in Chesapeake, VA with a 5'10", 170 lb. frame. Jordan has a lean athletic build with room to fill out. At the plate Jordan has good hand speed and bat speed to show solid line-drive contact at the showcase. He gets on his front side earlier and loses alot of pop. Once he gets his weight on his back side he will be able to drive the ball much more consistently. Jordan showed good athleticism behind the plate and runs well for his position. (7.44) He had a quick online delivery with good carry on his throws. Jordan has a good set of raw tools and should attract the attention of many mid-level colleges in a few years.
