Sawyer is a smaller but strong type catcher who can get it done behind the dish with a quick release to second and athletic ability. He popped 1.97 in Waco with 77 mph velocity. He is a fast runner with quick feet, he ran a 6.95 in the 60. At the plate he hit hard singles and that looked like his intent with the wood. . He had no problem dropping the barrel on the inside pitch. He showed that his bat-head is able to whip out in front of the plate when needed. If he plays within himself as he did in the Top Prospect showcase he will catch the attention of College Coaches. He can catch at the next level ! Thomas is a good student.
