2004 West Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Kevin is a 2006 grad from Coronado High School in Coronado, California and stands 6'0" 165 with a lean athletic frame and build to add more muscle in the future. He has a good fluid delivery and tempo with balance. He looks good out front on release. Kevin has impressive arm speed for a 2006 prospect. He topped out at 87 mph on his fastball and had a downer curveball at 70-72 mph that is a quality pitch right now. Kevin also showed the ability to command his curveball and had an idea of how to locate his fastball and change up as well. He has another year to get stronger and has the raw tools to be an impact pitcher at the college level. Kevin is also a solid middle infielder with good athletic actions and obvious pure arm strength. He has some loft in his swing. Kevin ios a good student.
