2011 Pitcher/Catcher Indoor Showcase
Lucas Peterson is a 2011 RHP/OF with a 6-2 160 lb. frame from Springfield, MO who attends Willard HS. Young slender build, room to add strength. Leg raise delivery, some hesitation at the top, lower half stays on line well, 3/4's release point, tends to pull upper half off on release. Consistent mid 80's fastball, topped at 85 mph, mostly straight. Big breaking curveball with power spin, hard downer bite, depth of CB makes it hard to throw for strikes. Nice change up with hard sink occasionally. Raw skills but flashes quality pitches, curveball could be a big weapon, strong chance to keep improving. Good student.
