Jonathon Michel is a 2008 3B with a 5'10'', 170 lb. frame from Carl Junction, MO who attends Carl Junction HS. He has a small to medium frame and a young look to him. Michel's best tool is his bat. He has a smooth swing with good extension through the ball and some bat speed. He can get a little long at times looking to lift the ball but the ball comes off his bat hard and he has quick hands getting the bat started. Michel starts his stance open and attacks the ball aggressively. He has the overall hitting tools to continue to develop. Michel ran the 60 in 8.00 and threw 76 mph in infield drills with a low, flipping release. He'll have to work on the defensive part of his game to play at the next level. Michel is a good student.
