2005 Midwest Top Prospect Showcase
Alex Lagadin is a 5-11, 170 lb senior outfielder from Canada. He is a 7.34 runner with 76 mph arm strength. He showed good range on defense and made accurate throws to the bases. Offensively, Lagadin has a rock back/rock in approach to the ball and takes a hard, aggressive swing. He gets his strength behind the ball and showed some bat speed and gap to gap power potential. He gets good extension out front, which we like to see in a young hitter. Lagadin has the type of frame that looks like he's going to be able to add some strength and continue to improve. He's a solid looking young ball player.
